Experience and Innovation
A strong believer in adult learning principles, much of Neil’s previous work was in academia, most recently as Director of Career Services at New England College and Coordinator of Career Services/Cooperative Education at Merrimack College. He has also taught courses in career and life planning at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Newburyport Adult and Community Education, and Northern Essex Community College. Neil worked as a consultant and trainer in career management and outplacement for Drake Beam Morin and in a previous life, in banking and energy conservation.
While not born to be a career and life coach, Neil feels that he was raised to be one. His life experiences help him to help his clients move forward more quickly and effectively. While never a great athlete, he has always had an ability to motivate, inspire, and coach people to plan for the things that are truly important in life-the career of a lifetime!
Neil’s education includes a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and coaching training with The Coaches Training Institute. He also completed the “What Color is Your Parachute?” Workshop with Richard Nelson Bolles.
Neil is a Board Member of the International Coach Federation-New England Chapter, Association of Career Professionals International, National Career Development Association, Boston Career Counselor’s Consortium, Association for Psychological Type, and World Future Society He is also a Board Member of the Newburyport Education and Business Coalition. He is a member of the Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and BNI (Business Network International).
